Roland H. Bukowski

Colored

Roland H. Bukowski

I work with kids as an after school coach. Not the best job, nor my top choice for a job but--I need money. Speaking of money I only make 9 bucks an hour-anyway...

We have to go to these training sessions to learn how to follow through with curriculum properly (the kids could care less). The session was very informative and helpful, but me being who I am, couldn't help but to doodle while the presentator was speaking (sorry).

This is who I came up with. His name is Roland H. Bukowski and he's a failed jazz musician, womanizer and a drunk. This isn't the first drawing I made of him, but he just happened to be on my mind that morning. I'm in the process of writing a comic for him now.
Colored Bukowski coming soon :)

Edie Sedgwick

I had just watched the movie factory girl only because I had a crush on Hayden Christensen, but it turned out that Edie Sedgewick was pretty interesting. So, I decided to make this piece in her honor.

Sadly, it doesn't resemble her at all.

Leatherface

Mornings In Mongolia

This is one of my first pieces when I started coloring my line work.

Red With Wolfie

Some ol' fashioned fairy tale magic.

Tritones and Dissonance

I'm a big music fan and I love Omar Rodriguez Lopez. He uses a lot tritones with his work. I know that during the renaissance period the tritone was known as the devil's note. I think that's dumb. I think they add more flavor and emotion to music when it's needed. We're not happy all the time, why should our music be?
